Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Lots of prayers still needed ladies...

First, DHs retirement work with the army will be finalized this month--possibly while I am gone out of state to do a househunting trip. We need to pray that this goes VERY well, in our favor, and that the army sees DH as injured/disabled as he really is. After the army makes its decision, we'll have about 3 mos before he actually officially retires. Of course we'll be dealing with the VA, as well, getting their amounts settled on, too. And possibly even the Social Security administration. So, prayers on all of those fronts...

Secondly, I am going on a househunting trip to the AR/OK/KS area, starting Thursday morning, and lasting a week. I need prayers for discernment...that if we DO find "the" house, that the sellers are willing to negotiate, that whatever happens, the house we eventually move into is the one God wants us to be in (this is my constant prayer as we go thru this process..sigh). And that the house we get into has space for our family to grow--both in size, and possibly (God willing) in number....

Thirdly, we are trying to get into contact with one of those real estate investor types, who likes to flip houses. Frankly, ours isn't in horrible shape, but we can't really do anything with it til we get everything out--which means us being moved out...and we can't afford to do that....make sense? So if he--or someone like him--is willing to buy the house, do the cosmetic work it needs, and makes a profit, while giving us a decent amount over what we still owe on it...well, it'd be really nice to just avoid the whole "redo the house" thing...esp with five little people, one bathroom, 1100 sq ft, and no room to move/do work outside.

So please, any and all prayers you can put up for us would be MUCH appreciated...

Thank you, ladies...

Rachel

Oh, Rachel, praying!

We looked into the same thing for our house. I really hope you have better like than we did! All the ones we talked to said they only do 60% of the appraised value .

Hope your trip goes well and you find just what you need!

Praying, Rachel. We were in the same situation with our home, but we did manage to sell it.
