I know these have been discussed at length before, but I was just wanting a straw poll on whether these are worth the money.
I've always used a Moses basket with my other babies. It's very beautiful and has big emotional associations (my husband slept in it as a baba) but it's also creaky and I have vivid memories of laying a sleeping baby in there only for them to wake up the instant they touched the bottom!
I'm attracted to the idea of co-sleeping but dh is less so, so the co-sleeper cot sounds like a good compromise -- and, in theory, would avoid that awful waking-up after night feeds. (In practice I've ended up having the baby in bed with me after the first night feed, so far...)
So -- opinions? Love them? Hate them? Worth the money?

For what it's worth, I've never used a co-sleeper. We invested in a twin bed set instead. We push the twin set up against our queen to make a super-bed. It's worked very well, and I figure that I will eventually need a twin set as for a big kid or a guest bed.

I have used a regular crib with all 3 kids - one side taken off & pushed up against our queen-size bed. So, the kid can nurse and fall asleep, and if I wake up and need more space, then I can move the baby into the crib.

I have used a co-sleeper for the last few children. Some of them have really slept in it. For the others it served as a bed rail more than anything. I like having it there to put the baby in, although I often just keep him in the bed with me.
We finally have a king size bed. With the other babies, we needed the extra space the co-sleeper provided.
I never could figure out how to put a sleeping infant back in a bassinet, which is why I ended up a co-sleeping mom in the first place!
I do use it for naps or for just putting baby down while I am busy. I don't like leaving him alone on our soft mattress.
In short, I would say if you have a king size bed and your dh isn't falling out of bed to make room for baby, you probably don't need one. But if you don't, its worth the money, especially if dh isn't thrilled to have baby in-between.

I have a co-sleeper and while I like it, I don't know if it is worth the money. I had the same problem you had with the Moses basket: often times the baby will wake up almost as soon as I put her down. Also, the second time I went to set it up, it never snapped together on one of the sides. We had to put a dowel in, but it still sags a little, and now it is not portable.  I love that the baby is right next to me, but I think that a Moses basket on the floor wouldn't have been much different.
