My dad teaches A & P at Aquinas College's Nursing School in Nashville. He says all she really needs for success in nursing is a solid background in basic Biology and VERY strong study habits! Have her practice listening to lectures either online or sign her up for a few college level classes at a junior college when the time comes for that. To get into a competitive nursing school, her grades will need to be top notch (at least that's the case at Aquinas which has a solid reputation for churning out the best nurses in the region.) I hear him talking all the time about students who have a lot going for them, but they just don't have the grades to stay in the program. It seems to be quite competitive. HTH! Good luck to her!
