Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How does one dispose of blessed objects which have broken? On my prayer altar were several statues which my friend's 2 year old picked up and dropped (hard) on the floor. They are not able to be fixed.
Now, I just noticed my St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is missing her head! I tell you it is hazardous for saints in our house these days!

Blessed objects are to be burned or buried.

I usually collect in a plastic bag any broken objects and keep it out of the way........maybe in the garage........and then bury the bag........about once every other year. And, then, anything burnable......like scapulars or broken palms.....goes into the fireplace.

I am SO sorry for your broken statues........definitely been there, done that..........

Thanks, Chari! We have burned our palms in the past if we don't get them to church in time for Ash Wednesday. I guess we will be busy burying statues before the first frost.
