EmilyK called me tonight to say she is in labor!
She tends to have long labors, so she'll probably be up all night.
She doesn't post very often here, but she's one of my best friends IRL. Will you please join me in praying for a safe delivery? This is her 3rd baby. I'll post details as soon as I get them!

She has my prayers. I, too, tend to have longer labors (posterior babies tend to take longer to turn), though my third was the fastest labor I had. Here's hoping Emily gets the same luck for #3!

Well, Emily called me this afternoon, about 2:30 Central time to say they were leaving for the hospital.  She started having contractions yesterday afternoon, so she's been in labor for over 24 hours now. She sounded pretty worn out when I talked to her. She said they were going to break her water at the hospital, in hopes of speeding things up a bit.
I've been offering up prayers and my daily duties for her all afternoon--please join me! I'll post details on the baby as SOON as I get them!!

I am pleased to announce the arrival of EmilyK's baby!
Nicholas Joseph
8lbs., 11oz.
19 3/4 inches
Not sure what time he was born--I JUST talked to Emily's husband, so I assume it was in the last hour or so. He said everything went very well. :) Thank you for your prayers!
