In a post on Elizabeth's blog she mentions having her son “string a rosary”
Can anyone tell me where to find directions on how to do this?
I need directions that would include a supply list.
Also is it hard to find the centers and crucifixes?
Can anyone supply a source?
Thank you in advance!!!
Blessings

Our Lady's Rosary Makers has everything that you need for string/mission rosary's.
If you have never made them before it is *very* helpful to have someone who has show you and then make a few practice ones.

Our hs group made some rosaries to send to troops overseas. We used parachute cord and pony beads and plastic crucifixes, but not centers. Our group ranged in ages from 3 to 12, so we didn't use the typical rosary knot (it has another name which I can't remember). Instead we used two overhand knots on top of each other. Not as aesthetically pleasing, but good and secure.
You will need about 4 feet of strong cord or thin rope, and 59 beads, a center (optional) and a crucifix. That's it.
Here's the directions:
Ranger Rosary
The directions are the same, whether you use parachute cord or something else. This site also has links for where to buy the supplies. The only thing is, if you buy the parachute cord from their source, it is a minimum of 1000 feet, which is way more than the average person needs. They are, however, the cheapest source of that kind of cord that I could find. I've got a spool at home, if you'd like me to send you some, let me know. I've got the correct length already marked off on my wall for quick cutting.

The rosaries I madeweren't really "strung." They are on wire. Alice has tutorials
here and parts here. Alice was so helpful in getting me things--I think I wore a path from her home to the post office. Personally, Kimberlee was a huge source of help and inspiration, too.

Thank you, from me too. We're looking for ministry ideas this year, and we'd love to make rosaries... I am also trying to get my girls started at knifty knitting to make baby hats to donate. We're having fun!

The perfect Mother's day idea for my Mother! Thank you sooo much. I may need that long to figure it all out and figure out how to include a 3 yo's help!
