Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Joann, we got 7 inches of snow *on top* of the 9 from last Thursday - THEN we got ICE on top of all that! It's crazy out there today! The squirrels are sliding all over the yard!

In NoVA, we got a lot of hype... for nuthin'

My boys were hoping for SNOW! Although about a week or so ago we got one to two inches and they (in vain) tried sledding in it. It was hilarious to watch their efforts.

All you northeasteners enjoy your snow!!!

We got over a foot of snow here in western NY. My boys are loving playing in it. They got snow brick molds for St. Nicholas Day.

Thankfully, the power stayed on. My husband and son made early Mass Sunday (son had to serve), but I stayed in because the storm was much heavier later in the day. We baked cookies and watched the Bill and Brown play in a blizzard.

That is exactly what we did! While we were watching the football game one of the kids remarked that they were having the same weather as we were. (we are about 4 hours away)

I'm in western NY, and it was pretty icky here(we got about 2 feet at our house, we are closer to Lake Ontario and got lake effect snow). We went to Mass Saturday night, then just stayed tucked in on Sunday and Monday. Actually I got my fudge made to send off to Rob in Iraq(it won't be there by Christmas day, alas).

I felt bad for the Bills. Not only did they lose, but a friend of mine in Buffalo said they had to take a bus to and from the game. they must have been so tired even before the game.
