I searched the archives but couldn't find this. Can anyone tell me if Brio and Thomas train sets are compatible? We have a Brio set, and I want to add to it. I've seen expansion sets that say "Brio and Thomas compatible" and others that just claim compatibility with either Thomas or Brio.
So.. are they interchangeable or not?

Yes, we have both and they are compatible. Or at least they were several years ago when my boys were younger and really into trains.

Yep. They are. We have a little Brio, a few Thomas, and a non-descript generic wooden train set. They all work together fine.

Not sure if you're interested or not Theresa - it's pricey, but not MIC, and I myself was tempted this year. Wooden train set It doesn't say it is specifically compatible, but it sure looks like it is. HTH!

Oh - just wanted to add that I just remembered that Little Tree products aren't MIC - double check me on that one though - my memory is failing!

Here is the Little Tree wooden train set that I know is compatible, and exceedingly less expensive!
