Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was impressed with the post on Waldorf-inspired felted Jesse tree ornaments. Felting seems to be something that is easy for children to learn, but I have a few questions:

1. What is felting?

2. Can you recommend any kid-friendly beginner felting books? I have a five year old. I can help with reading the book, but we would both need something geared more to children.

Blessings,

Elizabeth

Felting is fun for children. We have made balls (with bells in them)and anything round like apples and pumpkins. Here are a few good sites:felting 101
Here is a good site for making felt balls and pincushions.
