My dd has a concerto competition on the 28th (her birthday). This is extremely minor, but if you think of it, would you offer an Ave that she does her best. She is playing a San Saens piano concerto and accompanying someone on the Von Williams Tuba concerto all in the same competition. Thanks.

This is very, very minor but if you don't mind offering an Ave for our dd. Evidently scheduling miscommunication means that she will be playing both concertos back to back (her's first, then the accompanying) unless she herself withdraws. She is discerning what to do - as her biggest fear is messing up the person she is accompanying due to having no time in between her performance and this one. I have no idea what she decided but this mama could detect the frustration and disappointment in her voice. She has worked so hard to prepare for both of these. I really think she can do it (both I mean) - but then I'm not a musician and ... Just that she makes the right decision, is at peace with it and does a good job for the Tuba.
I almost feel embarrassed to post this, as, well there are so many really serious, life changing needs here. Being mom, I probably won't sleep well tonight so know I am praying for all of these requests - even the ones I have not directly posted on.
Thanks to all.
Janet

Thanks for prayers everyone. Dd called and was at peace, felt she did a good job for both. It is a long story but I think she was introduced to some of the not so nice aspects of piano performance - all at an in-house competition with no monetary prize and no real status or award associated with it (other than playing with the college orchestra). I Know that your prayers helped her through all the ups and downs to stay focused and do the job she had been prepared to do. Thank you all for your prayers.
