Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Can anybody tell me if there is something like the Life of Fred for lower grades (for the 4 basic operations)? It would surely make math more appealing!

thanks,
ck

Clarissa -- as far as I know, LoF is only high school. You could always contact Dr. Schmidt -- who is a really nice guy to chat with -- and ask if he knows of any equivalent. I'm thinking he hasn't done one as he's a highschool/college math teacher .... but here's the link to Life of Fred with all the contact info.

Fairy blossom,
Thanks for the suggestion! I did not know about that author.
I'll be getting some of his books out from the library when we start up school again.

Blessings,
CK

Actually, he's now got out the Fractions and Decimals books which are for right before Algebra. My sixth grader has done the fractions book and is in the decimals book.
