Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

One you've tried & your family reeeally enjoys?

I'm thinking of adding mac 'n cheese to our Thanksgiving menu this year.

TIA!

no recipe.. my grammy always made it by mixing chopped cheese into the macaroni, pourin a bit of milk into the bottom of the dish and baking it covered. I cheat and use the pre-shredded cheese.. but it's just mixed up until it looks right. So I have nothing for amounts. The milk should just cover the bottom of the pan.

We used to go to my Great Aunt's in South Carolina each year for Thanksgiving - it is basically like a family reunion there each year. (My Mom was raised by her Grandparents, so her "Aunts & Uncles" are more like her brothers and sisters, and there was nine of them, so it is usually a pretty big to-do. My immediate family hasn't been able to go in a few years due to finances .)

However - back to your question! My Aunt Ann makes an awesome Mac & Cheese at Thanksgiving each year. I will get the recipe and post it as soon as I can.

Yum.

be back soon...

My ds (now 8), a few years ago at my SIL's house and with ALL the best foods laid out for Thanksgiving Dinner, asks "is there any mac n cheese" ... ever since then, mac n cheese (baked of course) has been a staple at all family get-togethers! I'll post the recipe later!

That's what we had for dinner tonight. No recipe. I cook 4 C. macaroni and make 4 C. medium white sauce. To the white sauce I add grated cheddar cheese to taste, onion, salt and pepper. Put in baking dish in 350 oven for about 30 min until brown around the edges. Nothing fancy but sure is good.
