Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Where do you all like to go on a beautiful Fall day in VA? I want to head out towards the mountains tomorrow for a relaxing, family day. Money is really tight, so we just want somewhere to hang out, run around and have a picnic.

What a lovely thought, Molly!

I have several places to recommend...oh, but it would be too long of a drive for you, in your condition.

I have been having the same thoughts, and I several places tagged, to get out and visit.....but I am on day 11 of my sore throat and feeling kind of yucky...........so, we keep postponing.......I am sad we may miss all of our spots, as we wanted to see them in the FALL.

I am obviously not much help.......well, just call me an encourager ........don't let anything get in the way......get out there and enjoy, and come back and tell us all about it.

Not sure where you are in VA but Shenandoah National Park? Big Meadows--nice drive up with views of trees. Big meadow to explore. There is some really popular trail to a pretty waterfall too--I think it is a little further down the road from the Big Meadow, on the right going north--but don't quote me on it. Not a long hike with littles(but it is hilly)and so pretty. Oh, but no pets allowed on this trail. In case your pet is one of the family like ours is :)
Missing the old stomping grounds...
