OK- Pottery Barn is kind of out of the budget, so where else can I buy some nice quality quilts for my dc's beds? I bought one at Bed, Bath and Beyond today but was so disappointed with the quality that I will be taking it back.
My ds has a full size bed, and the quilt I bought today hardly reaches from one end to the other (86x86). It was a cute race care pattern- very cute- but the quality was just terrible. The black and white checker board border already looked faded. The quilting stitches were huge and uneven. It was very thin- almost see-through. And it was not inexpensive.
I noticed that at places like PB and The Company Store the quilts are longer: 86x98. I know I can watch on e-bay and try for a PB quilt that way, but I was hoping to be able to buy one fairly soon. Target/Walmart seem only to have kid's bedding in twin size.
Any ideas?

Do you have a Kohl's in your area? I have found some nice things there.
And I would second the Company Store too...sometimes they have some good clearance prices...oh and Lands End Home too. But those are all mail order...so not so quick.

Costco is one place.
Lately I bought some bedding from Tuesday Morning. You have to watch their sales, and stock changes all the time, but I bought some really fine quality stuff. I've very pleased.

actually, I was able to buy a sheet set from PB Teen for our queen bed, I think it was 14.99? and I found shams and pillowcases for dd's bed at around 3 and 4 dollars! just check the Pottery Barn clearance online.
I've heard from others who shop more regularly that almost all of the "lines" make it onto clearance, you might just have to be willing to mix n match a bit. the sheets and pillowcases are SO nice to sleep on.

I love Garnet Hill, PB and The Company Store. However, they ARE expensive so I only ever shop at clearances and just try to mix-match. And yes, Tuesday Morning, Jenn! Love that place!

Maybe try Overstock.com. Sometimes they have great bedding deals.
Also, you might try ebay for Pottery Barn stuff.

Ross Dress for Less--very hit or miss!
LL Bean or Lands End sale page/overstock page
last year I bought a wonderful flannel set of sheets from Target online for $7! (woolrich brand). I was ordering from overseas (no top sheets there!) and so had to look at US stores online. But I think I just got very lucky as I've checked a few times again and have not been so lucky! But I did find some 100% cotton basic twin sheet sets for the boys (I am picky about all cotton) for 14.99 each at Target, they have been quite nice for the price.

Melinda, I buy our bedding at LL Bean. I'm not sure how they stack up as far as expense, but I can say they are *wonderful* and last and last.
I also like the bedding sold at The Vermont Country Store.

I do have to admit that I love the PB kids quilts. I waited for a sale to buy ours.
