In July I asked you all to pray for my dear friend and her baby when the baby was born. This sweet little girl has a congenital heart defect, and has been doing very well. Later today (Friday) she will be having heart surgery to correct the defect. She will be heading to the OR at around noon and the doctors will most likely do the actual correction at around 3. Her mom was mentioning how very meaningful these times are, especially on a Friday. Could you please say a prayer for her during these hours of the Lord's Passion? Thank you so much!

I just got an email from the mom - baby is doing very well. Progress has been slow, but steady.    Baby is now off the ventilator, has resumed nursing, and will hopefully be going home soon!    They are still a bit worried about infections, especially since they will be in the hospital's step-down unit for a while before they go home, where there is greater risk of getting something. So, please say a prayer that baby will avoid all the hospital germs! Thank you so much for your prayers!
