Brian and I just got back from a meeting with our pastor. Catherine is going to be allowed to receive Confirmation. She is only a Sophomore equivalent, and in our parish, they confirm seniors.
We've been going back and forth with the DRE about it. She didn't want Cate to be confirmed early because "everyone else would want early confirmation". She also claimed that Father wouldn't allow it, but we were determined to get it from the horse's mouth, in a manner of speaking.
After speaking with Father today, he believes that Cate is ready. Her interview is tomorrow morning. Please pray for her to have confidence.

Oh thank you so much for asking, Angie! Her meeting went very well with Father. Brian and I are sensing that the DRE is going to raise more of a stink and make this a hard row to hoe.
So please continue to pray for Catherine's (and our) strength through this. It's OK that we might have to fight for this. It's a good fight! I'm sure it will be the cause of a lot of people growing in holiness.
