I want to write a unit study for Johnny Appleseed and separate it (somewhat) froma regular study of apples. I hope that makes sense.

Here's a Johnny Appleseed song.

We use it as our table grace for part of the fall season - especially when we have something made with apples on the table. As a grace we use the first verse.

Ami,

We read this book by Will Moses on J. Appleseed's birthday. I think it would be fun to incorporate a study of Grandma and Will's artwork and copy it using present day scenes (people in a pumpking patch, the family playing in the yard, apple picking!, etc. The family could make a project of searching out good photo ops for Moses-esque scenes
