This mom really needs prayers.. her water broke when she was 20 weeks, and the doctors didn't want to do much to help them out, basically telling them to go home and wait for a miscarriage. This was on september 25th. She has held out for this long, the baby is still alive, and just this afternoon has gone into natural labour. She is now almost 23 weeks and the baby is considered 'viable' so the hospital is now helping them.
please pray for the life of the baby, the health of the mother and the faith of the family.

I am praying for this baby, the mother and family. May all that happens serve to draw them closer to You, Lord. May they feel Your presence and know that You hold their baby in Your loving Hands. I am praying for the safety of this baby, for guidance for the doctors, and for peace, joy and strength for the family.

Praying for all of them.  It's scary, and they have a long road ahead of them, but I've heard of 23-weekers doing well. If it would help, tell her our 26-weeker (now 2 years old) is doing wonderfully -- you'd never know she wasn't full term.

Michael and Melissa had a beautiful baby boy at 6:13 this evening. Fr. Jon and I arrived just as the baby was being born. Fr. Jon entered the room and was able to baptize and confirm little baby Jacob who has his mothers nose and fathers hands. I was able to visit little Jacob and his doting parents as they smiled and gazed lovingly into their sons eyes. Melissa shared with me the peace she has in her heart knowing that Fr. Jon was by their side and able to baptize and confirm baby Jacob. Michael asked the nurse what time was he born and she said 6:13pm and then he asked, when did Jacob leave us and go to heaven and the nurse said he has not left you yet. His heart beat at the time was very faint. Melissa and Michael are and will continue to be amazing witnesses to the staff as they gracefully experience the life and death of there first born son Jacob Isaac. When I left Michael and Melissa, baby Jacob still had a faint heart beat and they were tenderly holding their son and cherishing the last moments of Jacobs life with grandma and auntie Michelle by their side.
Michael and Melissa want to thank everyone for the outpouring of prayers and support. They ask you to stay prayerful as they continue on the journey of thanksgiving for the life of Jacob Isaac.

Thank you all for your prayers.. here is another update:
Michael phoned and sounds wonderful. They would like you to pray for Melissa. The doctors were going to release her and then she spiked a fever. They will keep her over night and hopefully with many prayers she will be able to go home. Michael shared many stories with me of last evening and today. I will let Michael and Melissa share those stories as I can’t do them justice. I will share that Jacob lived for 26 minutes. These moments were spent praising God for the miracle of Jacob. They were then able to swaddle Jacob through the night and gaze at the beauty God created. The doctors and staff were very supportive and compassionate. They allowed Michael and Melissa to decide when they were ready to surrender him. They did so today with sadness but, also tremendous joy and thanksgiving for the time they shared with Jacob. One doctor by the name of Susie visited them several times throughout the night. Prayed and cried with Michael and Melissa. Susie told them both that what the staff witnessed has not only impacted the doctors and nurses who worked with Michael and Melissa but, the entire ward. God is so good.
