Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My boys have started looking to me for confirmation before going on to the next step in their activity. I know I have been correcting them when I see them doing something in the wrong order or whatever. I try to keep it nonverbal with just purposeful movements on my part when correcting. Anyway...what do you do when they're doing it "wrong"? Do you let them complete the activity as they see fit and then just re-present it another time? TIA.

I am in the same boat, Dawn.It is so hard for me to just walk away and let her figure it out on her own! To see mistakes happen and not correct them just goes against my nature!LOL! But I also see my dd asking for confirmation or approval on such a regular basis that I know I need to work on this habit of mine! So I am trying harder to let her learn on her own, mistakes and all, and I do see it bearing fruit. Gradually.
I'm no help, I know, just wanted to let you know I struggle with this, too!

This is such a fine line to tread for me as well! I am hoping that with more and more materials presented that this will dissapate somewhat as we all gain confidence and mastery with working with everything. Also I think that with the wide variety of materials that we are providing for the children, there isn't enough time yet for them to fully and completely work with something to gain that internatlization just yet. I do believe that is one of the reasons Lillard suggests a clean slate in the beginning of the class each year, just some thoughts, not really much help either I'm afraid

Blessings!
