Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Currently I use four pillows. I have a tempurpedic neck pillow for my head, I use a pillow over my head, and then I have a pillow behind my back, and another supporting my belly and goes between my legs.

Are there any pregnancy pillows that would do the job of front and back body support? I really don't want one for my head, as I like what I have. What do you do? Do you consider the pillows just a marketing ploy?

Opinions please!

Jenn, I've never tried them -- I just stuff the pillows that I have wherever I need them.

But that doesn't stop me from having to get up and use the bathroom several times... so I don't know how much sleep that I would get even if I was super comfortable!

LOL! I only woke up at 5:30 this morning and thought that was pure bliss. I am the same about multiple trips to the bathroom! I'm just looking for a little belly and back support. I need it even when I'm not pregnant, but now even more.

Dear Jenn,

I have used a body pillow, purchased at Walmart, since my fourth pregnancy. I can't seem to go without it. It keeps my knees spaced enough that my pelvis doesn't squash together, this prevents my back from hurting and my pelvis from aching... Using several pillows hasn't worked because they end up floating around my bed, and onto the floor.

Jenn,
I have also used a Walmart body pillow for the past 3 pregnancies or so. I love it and couldn't go without it. I love how it keeps my legs apart all the way down to my feet and I can snuggle my head up at the top. It's a must have in my pregnancy! Hope that helps.

I have a Lands' End body pillow that I ADORE. I arrange it, fluff it up, every night before I get into bed. (My dh calls it "Pat" as in "Pat comes between us in the bed!") I use Pat when I am pregnant, and the first few weeks postpartum. It seems to help the creaky pelvic joints.

MUCH better than trying to corral numerous smaller pillows.
