Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

A while back I saw Peggy Noonan as a guest on EWTN (last summer?) and she mentioned a book on the rosary that her friend had sent to her, and I've been meaning to pick it up, only I can't remember the title!

Does anyone have any good recommendations for books on the rosary? (I know how to pray it, I am looking for something that will help me understand Mary more deeply.)

Thanks.

I am not sure I've heard of the rosary book you have mentioned but if there is one book I recommend, it is The Secret of the Rosary by St Louis de Monfort - who is a giant in the world of Marian Devotion.

This is a book where I love to read some of the different stories in it to my children as well - they love them!

This is also a lovely, ENORMOUS book for children on the rosary - but at this stage they have one only for the Joyful Mysteries, but I do know they intend to continue publishing the other mysteries in time.

Which saint was it that preached for 30 days straight on the Rosary? St Vincent de Paul????   If we know the answer I would recommend him    I do second the Secret of the Rosary, excellent read.
