thanks for all the prayers, I know they were helping me to keep calm and do what needed to be done.
it is passing well south of us. 390 miles from San Juan. we are supposed to get trop. storm winds over night with some rain, but not much where I am.
we managed to get moved in, but will be living amoungst boxes for a while. lol but at least we are here and everyone is sleeping in their own beds tonight.
again thanks for all the prayers.
--------------------------------------------------------
so on top of 7 weeks out of a suitcase, and now getting our house and goods this week. I need to prepare for a poss hurricane coming right at us. LOL
AND dh needs to go to work, so I am doing all this on my own. LOL
so tonight is off to the store to stock up on water and batteries and canned goods. LOL
and I think I will pick up something fruity to drink LOL.
LOL trying not to freak out.
take me back to CA where you don't get to anticipate disasters! LOL just ride them out LOL
prayers please for me to stay calm. thanks

Praying!
Oh, those little LED book lights (the ones that they sell at the book store) are nice to have when you want to read in bed and have no power. I have found the Led head lights (the type you wear on your forehead) are great to use when the power is out. Other than that, plenty of water, food/snacks and batteries for a radio.

One day you will look back and laugh!
Prayers for Dean to die down or change direction!
God bless you during this stressful time.

Dean appears to be strengthening significantly today but I think you are still in TS Winds, Jamie.
I've been thinking about you and your first hurricane today and I thought I'd share this.
Our Lady, Star of the Sea, help and protect us!
Isn't this new icon lovely? You can read more about it at The Mary Page.

That IS a beautiful icon, Jennifer! And one that is very comforting to us who live in the path of hurricanes.
Many prayers for you, Jamie. I know what it's like!
