I cannot stop sobbing. I just can't.
I was just about to turn my computer off, when I checked the email real quick, and I received an email from a very old CCM friend.
I will not give her name out because I do not have permission, but her 19 yo dd was killed in a car accident very early this morning.
Please pray for her soul, her parents and her siblings. Her mother is SO dear. Today is my favorite saint's day: Saint Philomena, please ask for her intercession.
I am just so sad.

Oh, no, Chari, I'm so sorry! I will remember this young lady and her family in prayer and offer my Mass tomorrow for them.
One of my old friends lost her college-age daughter in a car accident several years ago, so I can empathize with you. I'm praying for you, too, especially so you can be strong for your friend and your family at this sad time.

Is has been made public several places.
The woman is our dear Lucia and it was her 19 yr. old daughter Rachel who was killed.
This is such a beautiful family - truly servants of our Lord. Please pray for them , they are heartbroken over this devastating loss.
I'll be posting a picture of Rachel in the FCL photo page soon.

Thank you for the prayers. My first thought, Nancy, was: my family won't need much prayer..........but it hit them, especially, Anne, who was a pen pal with Rachel for about a year or so, harder than I would have thought. They were the same age. Thanks for knowing the prayers would be needed here, too, if only a little bit.

Yes, Diane........let's hug our kids.
And, I told my kids, no bickering or arguing this week...........to offer everything up for the Schwartens. Two of our neighbors lost their dds in car accidents at the same age (ten yrs apart), and my aunt was 18 when she was killed in a car accident. I asked them to please remember: we never know how much time we have with each other.......and to please keep that in mind when interacting with each other.
