I am making lemonaide with all those lemons I was complaining about, lol.

prayers.

we have been here in PR now for going on a month....living out of a suitcase for over 6 weeks. don't have our house yet, still in a hotel with four kiddos. dh goes to work everyday. I know in the bigger picture this is so small.

But I am really missing home, friends and family. there has been upheavals in our famiy over the past two yrs, and now being this far away things are really hitting me. trying to stay happy and positive, but it is hard.

so could you please offer up a couple of prayers for me and my 'mental outlook"? I would greatly appreciate it.

Praying, Jamie; we had this happen on our first overseas tour and it was very hard to cope. I'll be thinking of you today!

It might help you to know that this six-week letdown is pretty normal, from my experience and observations. (I was an exchange student and hosted 2 students, as well as being a military wife.) Hang in there; your stuff will come, you'll get your house, and all will feel better eventually. Practically every spouse goes through this adjustment/missing family/what-have-I-done phase when he/she moves overseas. Your kids are probably feeling the same way. Now might be a good time for a sightseeing trip (by bus if necessary), local tour or other fun, non-routine event.
