Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Well, I'm ready to order our materials, and it seems to me that for what I'm looking at Adena has the best prices and best shipping rates. It seems to make sense to me to order from one supplier in order to keep shipping rates lower. Is that true?

Also, though I could get the maps cheaper in one place, I'm interested in the map cabinet from Alison's as it holds 12 maps and seems larger. Aren't these maps all the same size? I'm a little leary of ordering the two things from different suppliers.

The Kid Advance sale seems tempting too.

I wondered about this too. I will measure EXACTLY my maps and openings from Kid Advance later today.

Hi Vicki, I haven't had experience with Adena, but I will say that I absolutely LOVE my Maps and Cabinet from Alison's The shipping isn't necessarily going to be less by only ordering from one supplier, but keep in mind the distances your products will be traveling. For instance Alison's is out of NY, so that's not too far for you. Kid Advance is in CA so that may be quite a bit different. One of the easiest ways to figure it out is to put everything into your cart and calculate then compare it to another site and see what the difference is. Or perhaps even easier, just call the compnaies you're most interested in and they should be able to tell you right away.

Have fun and HTH a bit! I am very happy with all my products from Kid Advance and Alison's among the others mentioned in the Boxes are Arriving thread!

Blessings!

Thanks ya'll! That helps me think this through. I've tried going to all the sites and putting things in my cart, then printing off the total. The problem is that some of the geometry cabinets are not the same (different # of insets). So I'm doing my best to compare apples to apples, and trying to stay within my budget.

Since I've been reading about the use of maps in Montessori in the Classroom, I'm really excited about using these materials. I'm realizing that some of my homemade will not create the same excitement as those things that are specialty made.

Thanks for measuring, Suzanne!

Have you been happy with the maps from Kid Advance? They seem to have a good price right now on the set.
