Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My kids are so interested in learning more about the Celts, and so is my husband (those are his roots).

Do any of you know any good resources for kids aged 7-12??

We have numerous hands on things, so we are looking more in the books arena (this never happens here...usually we have the books but no activities )

Ignatius has a great looking book out called Celtic Heritage Saints. This may not be exactly what you are looking for if you want pre-Christian Celts, but it might be a nice follow up. (Its a 4th grade reading level.)

It's reviewed on love2learn.

I'd do a library search... there really were not that many celtic resources that I could find. However Story of the World 2, if you get the activity book, has a list of books you might like

I will look at the Celtic Heritage Saints book. My children really love the saint stories.

I don't think I can afford the STory of the World 2 book at the present, however I will poke around friends here and see if anyone has it so I can peek at the list

I also didn't find many books at the library even though we are in a major centre. Some books I did find for my 12ds were the Rosemary Sutcliff novels- he really enjoys those.

We loved this book - it is in the British Museum Activity book series and we bought it , quite inexpensively, from the shop at our State's museum. Perhaps a trip to a Museum and Museum shop might bring a few more ideas?

Thank you, I will check out those books. Our museum is pretty slim pickings here, we should have dropped in at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto when we were on our vacation.

Back to the post vacation laundry....
