My husband is a Catholic missionary who is required to raise all of his own funds as far as income for our family and wants to send a basic birth announcement to all of our donors and others who typically receive his newsletters after this little one is born (if she EVER comes, I'm 40w3d and VERY anxious).
I was wondering if anyone knows of somewhere to buy birth announcements in postcard form so that we can save on shipping? We don't have a ton of money for this project, but it is very important for us as a family to stay connected with our donors (one of which, I must mention, is a VERY generous family that I only know from THESE BOARDS! ).
Thanks!

Andrea, I don't know of a source for postcard announcements, but I did find a link for postcard backings. I can't get the link to work but if you google it, it should come up. They're stickers you attach to a photo or whatever you want to mail out. They're not terribly expensive if you buy in bulk (not sure how many donors you'd be mailing to), and you could probably lay out 4 per piece of paper to cut down on printing...
Hope that little girl comes soon for you...I'm sure you're all tired of waiting!

Andrea,
Could you maybe just print them on cardstock and then cut them out in postcard size?? I don't know much about what makes a postcard a postcard.
Or maybe an email announcement (if you have their emails) to save on printing and money??
Just a thought! Praying for you and that little girl of yours!!

One time, we used a really cute drawing that one of our older dc had made as the decoration for a very basic birth announcement. Perhaps you could print something like this on basic card stock, or if printing is a problem, just have the older dc decorate the cardstock around a handwritten announcement? I am not sure exactly where you are, but Staples sells basic card stock that could be used for this kind of announcement, and they ship everywhere. If you had other office supplies you were needing, you could bundle an order together, because over a certain amount, I believe shipping is free!
Congratulations with your upcoming new little one, btw. I am right behind you at 38 weeks, and counting..........

I like to use snapfish. You can make a photo into a postcard and type a message on the other side. You can type in all the addresses and have snapfish mail them for you. I find the price reasonable. They are 99cents for a 4x6 plus postage. I do all our change of address/baby announcement combos through them. You can't beat the convenience.

MelissaClaire, who is on the forum, does absolutely beautiful announcements. She could probably help you figure out something in your budget.
