Hi ladies,
I have been having sort of intense Braxton Hicks contractions for most of this evening. They were very frequent from about 7-9PM, and then I laid down and they improved for a while, but I just got up to go find my DH and got another strong one. I am now lying down again. I am nervous, but unwilling to call my OB just yet because I am afraid of being risked out of a VBAC even if it turns out to be nothing. They do go away when I lie down ....
Please pray for us, that this is nothing and babe and me are fine.
ETA, I do feel baby movement. So that's a good sign, I think. Just please pray.

Drink lots of water. My midwives always remind me how critical this is in combination with lying down.

I am feeling a lot better this morning. Lying down all night helped, I haven't had contractions this morning. I feel like the worst mother ever for not calling, but I am so scared of being risked out of a VBAC and there just aren't that many options for VBAC around here ....

21 weeks tomorrow. I did go in and see the OB, she checked my cervix and it is long, low and closed, praise the Lord! I do have a bacterial infection, for which she gave me antibiotics. But everything else looks good, and she didn't flip out or threaten my VBAC. She was glad I came in so we could both have peace of mind.
I need to trust her more. My bad experiences with Kaiser Permanente during my last pregnancy have left me very jumpy about OBs in general. It's not fair of me to put that experience on her when she has been very kind and flexible.
