I am embarking on planning a weekly Holy Hour for children at my parish with a friend. Many years ago, my children and I participated in a Holy Hour for children at our parish in Virginia Beach. It was modeled after Armata Bianca (Our Lady of Fatima's White Army). I have tried and tried to make contact with someone at the national Armate Bianca headquarters to order prayer books, but have had no luck all summer. Are any of you ladies familiar with Armata Bianca? Or do any of you attend a Holy Hour for children and have some ideas/experiences you would like to share?
Thank you!

Hi Marie~
I don't have any information on Armata Bianca but I did want to pass on this wonderful resource:
Fr. Antoine Thomas (can be seen on EWTN) and "Children of Hope, Eucharistic Adoration for Children"
Here is the link
Hope this helps.
much peace,
Ryane

We had a Holy Hour for Children for years at a local monastary where we alternated between Armate Bianca and Children of Hope. We had a wonderful opportunity when Fr. Antoine came and led the holy hour for us once. (He is AMAZING with the children!!) Unfortunetly our attendence became so low that I doubt that we will continue this coming year. Our family enjoyed both programs, and the personality of the priest (if you have a priest leading it) really adds to the time too. My husband makes a holy hour each Sunday with some of our children and they follow the Children of Hope program. You can download Children of Hope from their website, then make copies to pass out as people arrive. (that's what we did.)
I hope you have good attendance. It was always a beautiful time for our family and we saw many fruits from our time in front of the Lord.

We have Eucharistic Adoration for Children every First Friday, based on Fr. Antoine's format. My older kids really like it!

We have family adoration first Saturday and use Fr. Antoine...each family takes a turn planning the music, meditation, and prayer portions of the hour. We end with fifteen-twenty minutes of silent prayer where the children are given coloring sheets to color which we then give to various people: the nursing home, the pastor on his birthday, mail them to soldiers etc.... Afterwards we gather for coffee and doughnuts and fellowship. Our family looks forward to it every month.

We use to be blessed to live next to the Priory that Fr. Antoine was at and attend Children's Adoration with him!
I know for a fact that if you parish is interested in starting this he tries to make every effort to come to these parishes. He is very wonderful. Let me know if you need more information.

I'm so glad you posted this! I'm working on starting it at my parish too! We're hoping to start this fall and have it once a month on Saturday mornings (so to include schoolchildren too), and will hopefully have a deacon preside as the priests hear confessions during that hour. I have sent emails out to various groups and now have about 15 ladies wanting to help! I've never heard of Armata Blanca (only Children of Hope) so if anyone has information on that, I'd love to learn more.

Thanks to everyone on these wonderful ideas and words of encouragement. I am so excited about starting this!
Mr. Tom Fitzsimmons, the U.S. contact for Armata Bianca, called me Sunday night and is forwarding me a packet of info. Once I have his contact information I will post it for anyone who is interested. I looked at the Children of Hope website and was in complete awe! Father Antoine sounds wonderful. I will keep you all posted as to our progress.

I brought up the idea with our parish a couple years ago, but our PA coordinator was not too enthused. Maybe if I tried to get our pastor to advocate it... I do so want to be able to take the kids to Adoration. I really don't get to go otherwise, which means I don't get to go.
