Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Can anyone give me a review of History Links?

I've had a look at their site, but would like a more detailed review than the comments on the site.

Is it easy to use with not too much planning and hunting around for books? Are the activities too obscure? etc.

Thanks

Tricia

My first year of homeschooling I was attracted to the idea of History Links. It is incredibly in-depth and has such a wealth of activities designed for a variety of age levels.

For me, though, it was a little hard to pull it all together, I think because there are so many ideas to pick and choose from and being new to homeschooling, I was a bit overwhelmed.    Still, I haven't given up my Ancient Greece unit book (six years later) since I find it to be a very good resource for ideas.

I hope others will be able to give you a more informative review.

Valerie

There's a review here and here. We have History Links for Creation and Greece but we've probably used 10% of the suggestions. Not to say that they're not useful, but we usually go off on our own rabbit trails, etc. They are definitely chock-full of ideas!!

Okay, I have no idea how that happened, but that wasn't my daughter Aisa posting, it was me. I don't know if it's our browser sync doing something or what.

Tricia, if you go to the search button and type in "History Links" and ask it to search under "Topic Subject" it will pull up a thread on History Links. Sorry--- I'm technically challenged, otherwise I'd post this as a link Anyway, there's some more good discussion of history links that might help!
