Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi.    Just back from vacation and got to looking at the short chains and squares (including 100 chain and square) I ordered from Alison's and they aren't really square. They're off by about and eighth of an inch. I was wondering if this is normal for bead material or result of buying the "less expensive" versions?!

TIA for your help here.

Hmm, did you call them yet?? I would check with them first and they may ask you to send them a picute of it, but perhaps they are defective??? I didn't purchase these yet, but I do know you have to allow for the metal *spacers* in the cube and the hundred flat. Maybe someone else has them and they'll check in here.

I don't think I've ever seen perfectly square bead squares - because of the way they're constructed. It has to do with the wiring of how they're held together. Beads are first put into straight bars, and then the bars are wired together, since that's how children would make them themselves with the individual bars.

I've got bead squares from Alison's and several other companies and none of them are exactly square, because of what I mentioned above.

This is exactly what I needed to know --- thanks!
