Hope this is the right thread to post this; my 8 yr old daughter has decided that she would really like a penpal (or several, according to her). However, I really think she would prefer a homeschooler over someone who goes to school as their lives would have much more in common. Can anyone offer some wisdom in where to look? Thanks!

Hugs,
Laurel

Laurel..............look no further than these boards!

My children's best frineds are from these boards.....

.......many started out as pen pals. One ended up in another's wedding! One is a confirmation sponsor to another of my dds.

Wish I had an 8 yo dd to lend

Any takers???

I have an 8 year old dd to offer up.

She would love a penpal. She is always moaning that she never gets any mail.

I have a 7.5 year old that needs a pen pal ...would that be too young for her?   I also have a 9yo that would do it but she has one pen pal already, I was hoping to find someone for my younger daughter before doubling up with #1.

My dd is 8 too! I'll ask her if she would like a pen pal. She's never had one before, but she's quite social bug so this might be just the thing!

Thanks for all the offers, both on this thread and through personal emails....my daughter now has four lined up, and I put that as the limit for now. I'd suggest for those of you here that may not be one of them to connect up with each other....it's a great way to get them writing (AND they love going out to get the mail every day!!

God bless,
Laurel
