Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I used his words verbatim. I had to cheat and read the story to him twice. He needed a jump-start. But oh my! once he had that jump-start, he took off. I *do* have a question about story order. He got slightly mixed up in the end. I remember taking an essay test on French history and losing steam somewhere in the middle of the essay because I got all mixed up on the order in which things happened. I just wanted to start over at one point, but we were far too deep into the testing time for that to be realistic. Must I be concerned about the story order at this point? Also, he changed the ending because he wanted the wolf to live happily ever after as well. Is this wrong?

Once upon a time there were three little pigs. The first little pig met a man with straw. Then that pig got it and he said, “This won’t take very long or it wouldn’t make any trouble.” And then the other little pig saw a man with sticks. And then, he said, “This won’t take very long or it wouldn’t make any trouble.” And the last pig saw a man with bricks. Then, he said, “This will make a lot of trouble and it will take a long time.” And then the other pigs laughed and ran away going in their houses. And then a big bad wolf came and said, “Let me in” and the pigs said, “No not by the hair of my chinny chin chin” and then the wolf said, “Then I will huff and puff and blow your house down.” And the wolf blowed his house down and then the one of sticks, the wolf said, “Let me in.” “No, not by the hair of my chinny chin chin” and then the wolf said, “Then I will huff and puff and blow your house down.” Then he blowed the other pig’s one down and then if they weren’t quick, they would have been eaten for dinner. And then they were quick. And then they got into their brother’s house of the bricks. And then one of the pigs said, “help me make some soup and can you light a fire under it?” so he lit a fire under it and then when the wolf tried to blow it down, then he tried to get in and then he tried to get in the door but it was lock and the window was shut and then but not the chimney. But, the three pigs made a fire and made the soup and then when the wolf came in he splatted into the soup and then he blowed and blowed and blowed and didn’t even make it go down and he goed away so he could get his breath back. And then, when the wolf came back home he just didn’t be eaten, he just went home and lived happily ever after and the piggies did.   The End.

That is so sweet, Tina!
And, no, it's not wrong for him to change the ending. In a four year old's mind, the story is whatever you want it to be! And he's very creative.
Good job!

That was awesome! I love the "splatted into the soup" part!

That's great. And I agree that you shouldn't be concerned about the order ... after all, he's so little. He's doing a great job!

That is wonderful! My daughter's 4 and we've been working on this but she's not quite there yet.
