I know we've talked about this before, but I still marvel at the ease of getting FREE art videos/dvds for loan from the National Gallery of Art ... these are the kind of videos/resources that schools use, so all may not be necessarily appropriate (or useful) for YOUR homeschool. But I just ordered 9 items, 4 for our ancient world's history program we're working on this year, and 5, general art history/appreciation resources ... and all you have to pay are return postage.

How easy is that!

And NOW, it's even easier because I've fixed the NGA link -- sorry about that....

We have used a few of their packets and have been amazed at the quality - and price.   Free!!! We used the Romare Bearden packet when an exhibit of his work came to Atlanta and another on Ancient Greece Sculpture. Excellent! The Bearden packet even included a CD of jazz music by Branford Marsalis inspired by and celebrating Bearden's art. The prints were superb and the Ancient Greek packet has some useful lesson ideas. Both had slides.   Thanks for the reminder, Mary. I need to order some for this year!
