There were so many great suggestions on these forums - I thought I would share what I have loved (now that I am actually there!!)

Labor - music in the delivery room - Mark Forrest rosary cd and You are Mine cd, Mozart Effect relaxation music, lullabies.

Postpartum - a pretty transition nursing nightgown, comfortable (matching) slippers, Danielle Bean's new book Mom to Mom, Fuji bottled water (my postpartum treat), my own mug to drink tea in, Burts Baby bee shampoo/wash/lotion, cd player with lots of calming music for baby. Having these in the hospital made it so much more pleasant.

Other items I give a thumbs up to:
- My Brest Friend nursing pillow
- Bravado nursing bras
- Arms Reach cosleepers
- soft jersey cotton sheets on my bed
- postpartum belly support from Babies R Us (though I have to take it off when the afterpains are very severe)

And best of all - my dh home for nearly 2 weeks - he takes the older kids out, organizes a lot of the housework and gives me a lot of snuggle and rest time with the baby.
