I have a friend who was raised Catholic and whose husband was also raised Catholic. Neither of them feels they had enough background in the Catholic faith to hold on tenaciously to it. They are now what they call "Biblical Christians" and are attending a Pentecostal church at present. She's asking a lot of questions, not with an attitude of wanting to catch me making mistakes (thank goodness, that would make me even more nervous than I am), but with an attitude of genuine interest. I am a little concerned about being the nonexpert that I am and steering her in the wrong direction. I just keep heading to the Catholic Sourcebook or the CCC whenever she stumps me and usually I hit on what she needs.

Please pray for discernment in her life. She has two wonderful girls whom she homeschools and a wonderful husband. But I can tell she's seeking something that perhaps she's not getting in her church. The priest I talked with about her says, "That's great that they focus on the Holy Spirit, but they're missing everything else!" He wants to speak with her. I hope that if he does, he doesn't scare her away!
