Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Would it be too much to use PLL, Stories with a View, and a Speller for my going to be 9 year old ds for Language Arts? He likes to write stories, and is itching to learn cursive. That is really the main reason for the speller - I was thinking of CHC Level C that has both print & cursive in it. We will be pulling a lot of vocab out of Catholic Mosaic.

I slso have Writer's Jungle on my shelf, just waiting to be used too....but I know I can't do everything!!!!

I don't know much about the first few items you listed (except PLL & Catholic mosaic) but Bravewriter encompasses all Language arts. You might want to read through it this summer since you own it. The arrow issues are wonderful for copywork or you could just use the copywork in PLL since you own it. Have him copy in cursive.

If you don't mind my jumping in here...

My oldest is 9, and I was worried I was overwhelming him.

For spelling we use Writing Road to Reading, and we introduce 10 new words every Mon and Wed, and correct any mistakes Tues and Thurs.

For the cursive practice we use Intermediate Language Lessons -- copywork is done in cursive, as are corrections to dictations.

Any other writing assignments (science, history, etc) are done in cursive as well.
