Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was going to purchase a kit from Magic Cabin, but saw this site and like the looks of the dolls a little bit more. Has anyone purchased or used her products?

Also, do any of you buy your wool on ebay or no of a cheaper source?

I am in the middle of working on a Magic Cabin Waldorf Doll. I found the Joy's site after I ordered the kits from MC. Honestly I haven't been thrilled with the way the MC doll has turned out. It might be my own fault, but I really did try to follow the directions exactly. The finished product isn't as "finished" as I would have liked (The body/should part). And I'm not using the hair they sent either - it's just a little odd. I am headed to the craft store today to purchase some embroidery thread or something. I read on another site that the hair wears quickly too. I also had to adjust the length of the limbs quite a bit.
That's just my experience. Matilda's turned out quite nicely. And I think mine, once clothed and haired will be sweet and presentable. It just didn't quite live up to my expectations.

Yep, I made one with my 7 yod for her birthday ... it was hard and I even ordered all the pre-sewn parts incl the wig....the directions aren't very clear and I had to "wing" lots of it (based on having read tons of doll-mking books in the past).

I think these dolls are just hard to make -- but once you've made one or two, I think all the kinks are worked out ... I definitely think the Joy's patterns/directions are better than Magic Cabin's but again, there is quite a bit of trial-and-error....
