Some of you may remember the devastating tornado that hit a high school in Alabama on March 1st. One of the boys killed lived here on post and was an altar server at church. I have talked to his mother a few times since he died, and she is having a very, very difficult time dealing with his death. I saw her today and she shared that she is expecting a baby in January. She is having a hard time being happy about the new baby and has been unable to bring herself to attend Mass very often since Michael's death. Her grief is so intense, her pain so deep - it's like a tangible presence. My heart just aches for her. Can you please keep Angie in your prayers? I think she really needs them. Thank you !

If you could get ahold of a little book by Father Combs called a Mother's Manual - it has prayers in there for a grieving mother that might give her a lot of comfort.

I will definitely pray for her today.
