Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I've been scouring the local library shelves for versions of Mother Goose and am trying to pick one to buy for our own home library. Which is your favorite?

We have the one by Blanche Fisher Wright, the one by Iona Opie and the one by Tasha Tudor. My favorite (the pictures) is Tasha Tudor's, but my kids' is the Iona Opie.

The best Mother Goose book out there bar none is "The Glorious Mother Goose" by Cooper Edens.

It truly is glorious and I won't be buying another copy ever again.

I like Tasha Tudor's and the one that Karen Andreola recommends in her CM book

Lavender's Blue. We have checked this out at the library so much, and it's the one my kids always reach for.

We just love those Iona Opie ones. I think Rosemary Wells does the illustrations and they are uproarious fun.

Thank you, Helene and Suzanne! I've added these to my library requests.
