I had a strange problem with my eyes today. My primary care doctor was sufficiently mystified this problem that she's sending me to an opthamologist. I see him tomorrow, as she wanted me to be seen ASAP. Urgency generally is not good, right?

I have a feeling this could be a new wrinkle in my autoimmune disease.    My husband isn't home and I need to take the kids to a swim meet when what I really want to do is cry.

I'm afraid. Please keep me in your prayers.   

Update Thursday afternoon: The opthamologist believes this is a viral or allergic problem, not an inflammatory process or an autoimmune problem. I have a prescription to pick up at the pharmacy later today; he thinks I'll be good as new in a couple of days. If not, he wants to hear from me and also very reassuringly said he would be in on Saturday if I needed him. Thank God and thank you for your prayers...

Praying for you here. In general, any eye problem at all is usually considered "urgent", just because you don't want to wait on vision-related problems, So it doesn't always mean something really bad.   Praying for your peace and speedy resolution!
