Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello!

I have a picture of a daddy long-legs on my blog here here

The bug had red things on it. Does anyone know what they are? I looked in the field guides that I have and they were no help. In Comstock's book it said the daddy-long-legs are very careful about keeping their legs clean. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Kristen I've only seen them with an orange reddish belly before . not sure maybe it stepped in some jam
my little spider friend in the kitchen visits the dog dish for water
I do know they can bite ! the only time I was ever bit by a spider ( are they spiders ? ) I looked down on my arm after recieving this terrible stingy bite and there on my arm was this daddy long legs !
everyone had always told me they wouldn't bite we'd always pick them up and handle them.
Post if you find out what the red thingys are .
Roxie

I believe they are parasitic mites that are common to harvestmen (daddy long legs). Check this page about half way down.
