Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi, everyone. My name is Sarah. I'm married to John just this year, God has truly blessed us. We have one daughter( from a prev. relationship) who is six and in K. And are pregnant with a son currrently.

I've read posts in these forums for a while, as my mother is a member. I realy like that it is Catholic and encourages each other in homeschooling, two of my fav. subjects.

I was homeschooled my self from 5th on, and helped with my much younger bros. I really enjoy homeschooling our daughter. I'm not sure how I would classify our homeschooling method. I'm not pushing it too much right now, as she is struggling in retention of the ABC's.

I like to read, garden, cook, and spend time in the great outdoors and with my family in prayer, work, play and relaxation. I love to spend time in the presence of the Blessed Sacraments, I think that is my favorite place on earth.

Looking forward to the fellowship of other Catholic homeschoolers!

God Bless,

Sarah

Welcome, Sarah. It's nice to have you here. It's fun to have a "second generation" member.

Welcome Sarah! I started married life off with a child as well and the first baby came right away. We have been on a roll ever since.

You are so fortunate to have been homeschooled! Your kids will be so blessed by that.

I look forward to getting to know you.

Our first came right away too.

There have been some slight challenges for our daughter to adjust to with all the recent changes( 430 mile move, marriage, having a father, new baby on the way, all the new people and only me being familiar) but God has truly, truly blessed us, and she has adjusted amazingly fast. And, she and my husband have bonded so well and quickly(he has developed into an awesome father in these short months, from someone who has never been around kids!), God is awesome in the ways He works!

And, yes, I am so fortunate to have been homeschooled, it is a wonderful way of life for a family, and it gave me the foundation and strength to make it through some very difficult circumstances. My Mom always tells other parents, homeschooling will not insulate your children from meeting difficulties, or straying. But, it does give them a foundation and strength to fall back on when they turn around!

God Bless,

Sarah
