Our 15 passenger van broke down Thursday night; it looks like possible transmission trouble. We just had 4 new tires installed on it last month, and repaired the ball bearings.
Last night we had a severe thunderstorm and it blew our upstairs thermostat. We just got our lower level AC unit fixed 2 weeks ago, and haven't even gotten the bill yet.
This morning I found a blister on our 4 year old's gum where she had a filling done, which might mean an abcess
Right now my main concern is Angela's tooth. Please pray there is no infection. I'm putting diluted tea tree oil, and calendula oil on it.
All of these expenses are not in the budget, so we'll have to use the credit card. Please also pray for my dh's peace of mind.
Thank you for being such wonderful prayer warriors, and know that I always take all of your intentions to Mass with me.

***Update***
The van has 2 electrical sensors that need to be replaced. Thank goodness it's not the transmission.
The AC is still broken , and we do have to pay for labor again We seem to be the only house getting hit after every storm.
I just got back from the dentist, and Angela does not have an abcess, but he wants to keep an eye on the sore in her gums. Praise God!!!!! At least she doesn't have to be on antibiotics, or have her tooth removed.
Thank you over and over again for your continued prayers. I was so worried about our baby having an infection. I'm going to keep using the Tea Tree oil once a day and hope her sore heals soon.
Blessings to all,

Praying for you, Ruth! Doesn't it seem like things always go wrong at the same time ... that is our experience.

I am sorry Ruth!
We had so many unexpected expenses between last November and now that my dh and I decided all the appliances got together and drew straws as to who should die first and when!...even the vacuum...(the fiend!)..was in on it! To make it worse, we had to buy a new van and it is so hard to pay for it with all the other things that needed to be replaced along with the rising oil and gas prices oh and my husband's root canal...and wisdom tooth extraction...sheesh!
I will keep you in our daily prayers! I pray that Our Lady will surprise you with some relief! I will have the dc pray for Angela, especially my 4yo who has the sweetest prayers...sigh!...those are the truly wonderful moments of life!
God love you!

Ruth - I am sorry for these trials. I know first hand how hard they are. We just had to fix the radiator in my dh's car. I will be praying for you and for your daughter's tooth.

Dear Ruth, I will be keeping your intentions in my prayers. We've been through the ringer ourselves lately with unexpected expenses and many things breaking down.

Thank you so much for your prayers. We're taking the van in this afternoon, and we should know what's going on by tomorrow evening. The ac should be fixed sometime this week. Hopefully we won't have to pay for labor twice, but I doubt it. I'm calling the dentist tomorrow, and hope she can be seen soon. It looks much better this morning. I had her rinse with diluted peroxide a few times yesterday.
I just have to tell this cute little story about Angela's blister.
I'm so worried about an infection and any pain she might be having, so I told her I wish I was the one who had the blister so she would be ok. Immediately she said to me, in front of her Daddy, "I wish Daddy had it instead of you, so you would be ok." He laughed so hard when she said that.
Isn't it amazing what children will say?
