Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We're studying Ancient History this next year and I'm looking for ideas on how you've used the Greeks Myths book by Usborne.

Thanks!

This may seem boring, but we simply read the myths!

My children love the Usborne Book of Greek Myths and return to it regularly. They regularly play Theseus and the Minataur and Deadelus.

They also borrowed "The Children's Book of Virtues" on video from a friend about the same time and watched many of the myths, but your children may be too old to enjoy that.

Lisa,

This doesn't answer your question, but we love the D'Aulaire's Greek Myths -- the illustrations are wonderful and the stories are well-written.

I agree with Mary G....don't miss D'Aulaire's Greek Myths. My boys read it cover to cover without any encouragement.
