Dear friends, please pray right now as I just got word from my father that my little sister is going to have her baby via c-section. Ugh! I'm so mad I could spit as the whole labor has been so poorly (over)managed by her caregivers. Worst of all, she's down in Atlanta and I feel sooo guilty I didn't try to get down there to be a support for her (she had asked ). My heart is breaking as I know how much she did not want this. Please pray.

UPDATE:
Antonio Domingo Stell has arrived safely. I don't know exactly what time he was born, sometime around 9 pm last night. He is doing great and so is my sister.One of the things the doctor told her as the "decision" was made for c- section was that "he just might be too big". Well he weighed in at all of 6lbs 13oz. According to my parents he has quite a head of spikey black hair, just like his papa . Thank you all so much, please continue to pray as mama and baby get to know each other and he starts nursing.

Maria, I'm offering a prayer for your sister, I can so relate to this - my first an emergency c-section due to poor over-management by the caregivers!

I will pray that she will have peace now it has happened and enjoy this new baby!

I also pray that she will find answers down the track to help with future births - for me personally it was homebirths and the things I learnt from my midwives about what to do when big babies go posterior....
