...I have to say there are serious advantages to living in San Diego! 
First we had that wonderful visit with Stef, and then this week Erica and I had the very great pleasure of spending a day with Janette, Tim, and their four charming sons. The older boys provided a splendid musical accompaniment to our delightful conversation. (I especially loved the Lord of the Rings pieces. Our piano has never sounded so good!)
At the end of the day we all went over to the Mariam Mother of Life shrine that has become a special place for my girls and me since we moved here. Unfortunately I had to rush to the post office before it closed, so we didn't get to pray a Rosary there together, which I thought about later.
It was so great to see the Smiths in person at last. Thanks so much, Tim & Janette, for making time for us during your busy week. I am loving all these SoCal travelers!!

I am so glad, and not surprised at all, that you had a great time together. I hope to add our family to the SoCal travelers list...hopefully this August  .

Lissa, you are too kind! We loved the trip and especially the day we spent with your family and Erica's. The kids were so sorry to have to go! Lissa is the most gracious of hostesses, and she and Erica and the kids were the best company. Angie, you will all have a great time if you get to go.
Unfortunately, the return home has knocked our socks off! We've been running since we returned and were welcomed home by much bigger allergy problems than we're used to this time of year. Personally, I think that we should go back and hang out with you guys for the summer! The weather is so much nicer there.
A rosary at the Shrine would have been lovely. I did go back by myself after everyone left to have a quiet moment of prayer.  The Shrine is a lovely place. You and Erica are so blessed to have it close to home.

Thou shalt not covet, Leonie. So ... when are you coming to the United States? Utah's really nice, this time of year. 
Lissa, it's absolutely *wonderful* that you were able to meet with 4Reallearners. We're not *so* far away from San Diego. Someday. Dream, dream, dream.

Tina, It's well worth the trip if you can go. San Diego is absolutely lovely (weather *and* company)! We have been enduring 97 degree (humid) days and find it hard to believe that we were *anywhere* that required jackets (in the evenings) a week and a half ago.

Chiming in a big late to say, yes, indeed, it was another great day meeting another beautiful 4Real family!
Janette and Tim and their boys are wonderful! Thanks for posting the picture, Janette, and for taking time out of your vacation to visit with us. Tim, Lissa showed me the other pictures you took and they are fabulous. Sometimes it takes the appreciation of visitors to be reminded of what a truly beautiful city we live in.
Anyone, anytime......if you're in the area....
Oh, which reminds me. The beautiful Mary M from Denver was here, too!!! I've got to email the pictures to her so she can post them. :)
