OK, well he missed the sunrise, but he is heading SouthEast this morning to begin his college career at LSU. Please pray for his safety as he's driving by himself from here to his step-sister's house in Texas for a few days and then on to Baton Rouge ... he turns 18 on Tuesday, the same day he'll register for summer term -- trying to get a jump on credits so he can finish in less than 4 years.
He's a great kid and I know he can do this adventure with few mishaps -- but please pray that all goes well, that his little car survives the journey and that he gets in with a good group of students from the get-go....
And if you could add a small prayer for me as I let my oldest leave the nest ....

Praying Mary. . .
I was just thinking of you and Elizabeth as I was wiping down the high chair recently with your oldests leaving and it made me get all teary.
Hang in there. Not sure what to say since I'm not there yet.
I'll offer my day for you and my misery  with being in the final days of preg.

Mary, many prayers for you and your son. We will be following you, with our oldest leaving in mid-August. My mother took him "school-clothes shopping" today - he's been in uniforms the past four years and needed some new clothing. While I'm very grateful for her gifts to him and us...he will be packing those new things to leave....scary, sad and exciting all at the same time.
