Just a quick note..
Please say a little prayer for me. I think I've hit my post-partum low-point this past week or so. Moving and all haven't helped, I'm sure. My family has a history of depression, etc. and I'm already on a maintenance dose of zoloft. Lately I've really struggled to keep going and I've been eating too much, not sleeping enough, etc.
I'll be okay but your prayers would be appreciated for me to crawl out of this soon...
Praying for all your intention, too...

JoAnna,
Prayers definitely coming! You have so much on your plate...having to move to TWO rentals while building a house, and having a baby and now newborn in tow and farm animals to care for and all the children...it's not a small feat to just get out of bed in the morning!! You always are inspiring to me.
I have a history of depression, so I know how scary it can be just thinking it might be coming on. You have the best tool -- being able to recognize it before it consumes you. Lack of sleep can cause the depression symptoms. Try to catch a few zzz's here and there to maybe help clear the fog a bit....I know, easier said than done!

My heart goes out to you, JoAnna! I wish that I were there to help, but my prayers will be with you! Just remember that taking care of yourself is most important. All else (even the animals) can wait. As my mother reminds me frequently, "If you got very sick, it would all wait anyway, so make sure to take care of yourself first."

Thank you everyone... I think your prayers are already helping! I feel like putting this out in the open is helping, too. Exposing it to the light of day seems to weaken it, KWIM?

JoAnna,
Be assured of my prayers. Did you check out the PPD thread on the "Loving the LIttle Ones" board?

JoAnna
I will pray for you too. Post partum is so difficult. I've had it with all three of my children and I think it is so good that you are talking about it. I was not able to do that with the first two babies, but with the third I was able and it helped enormously. Be assured of our prayers.

JoAnna,
I'm so sorry you are dealing with PPD. I know it's rough. Been there, done that too. Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. We will offer up a prayer for you tonight in family prayer time. Hang in there...you are not alone!
BIG HUGS!

Praying! I know how hard this can be...my SIL really suffered with her last little one and is still struggling a year later.
I will pray for peace for you...and for renewed joy for you when you see and hug your little ones.

Joanna,
I've never experienced PPD, but I most certainly will pray for you!
God bless,
Angela
