Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just got my Moby Wrap - and I love it. But I am wondering whether a diaper backpack will work. My 10 year old diaper bag has finally been retired - and I have no idea what to get. I am a backpack type as I like to be hands free - but will this work with a wrap?

Thanks for any advice.

I have a STORCHENWIEGE that I used with my last baby and I am a person that has never used a diaper bag because I like to be hands free !

To answer your question I would say it depends. The wrap that I most commonly used tied in back. I don't think that it would have been comfortable to have a back pack on with that knot in the way. However, their are tons of different wraps depending on your needs, so if you were to tie it in the front it might be doable.

I would probably just borrow a back pack and try it out.

One other consideration would be the heat. Not that it was much of a problem, but it does get warm slinging a baby. Would you want another layer??

My 2 cents!

I use a backpack with my moby wrap all the time. It works beautifully for me. I am also a hands free kind of gal!

My backpack is just a regular one, nothing special or baby specific. I say go for it!

Thanks Caroline - do you double up purse and diaper bag? My bag has to be retired too and I am thinking I can double up. I have a Jansport backpack (school type one) - but it is so enormous. I did see a really nice one in BabiesRUS today - black microfiber - but I did not want to get it without trying it on over my Moby.

I am really excited about my Moby - (I have only used a Baby Bjorn before) - I just hope it will be easy to get a newborn in as it is to get my dd's baby doll!!!

Thanks Betsy - this is my first baby to be in a wrap - so I need to think about the heat etc. Usually I am a heat lover though - it is the cold I cannot tolerate.
